Le Clos’ Award-Winning Partnership Program Drives Continued Success in the Travel Retail Industry
Le Clos, the Dubai based fine wine and luxury spirits retailer, has long maintained a commitment to delivering world-class experiences in the travel retail sector. With an enviable success rate in the industry, the retailer has played a driving force in establishing the importance of strong retail partnerships. Solidifying its role as a game changer in the industry, Le Clos has recently won the Frontier Magazine ‘Best Partnership Initiative of the Year’ award, highlighting its long-standing partnership with Dubai Airports. This is just one of three awards Le Clos received at Cannes this past month.
Andrew Day, Group CEO of Emirates Leisure Retail (ELR) and Maritime & Mercantile International (MMI), commented on the achievement: “Since Le Clos’ inception, we have placed a strong emphasis on building and establishing long-lasting relationships with our partners – it is a defining element that sets us apart from other retailers. We are proud to have seen success with our initiatives, especially with Dubai Airports. We highly value our partners, and we are pleased to see the efforts are mutually beneficial.”
The Frontier partnership award that Dubai Airports and Le Clos won is of particular note because it recognises the alignment of both parties in creating a sustainable offering that constantly challenges the status quo and aims to keep raising the bar, year after year.
Eugene Barry, Executive Vice President, Commercial Group, Dubai Airports, added: “We are truly delighted to receive this award as recognition for the vision of both Dubai Airports and MMI to conceive and deliver the award-winning Le Clos concept. Both parties saw the huge potential and worked together in all areas to help bring it to life. Le Clos is further testament to Dubai Airports’ continual commitment to working with all our partners to create world-class passenger experiences in the world’s #1 airport, Dubai International.”
Le Clos has also received recognition at the Drinks International Travel Retail Awards, winning in the ‘Best Partnership Initiative of the Year – Retailer & Supplier’ category for its Penfolds Grange Collection launch, and also taking home the award for ‘Best Luxury Drinks Launch of the Year’ for the Ledaig 42 Year Old. Le Clos brought the world’s most complete collection of Penfolds Grange to market in November 2014, with a collection containing 61 vintages, representing 60 years of Australian wine history. This year Le Clos worked with Burn Stewart Distillers to be the first retailer in the world to offer the rare Ledaig 42 Year Old to global consumers. The 1972 vintage malt is the rarest and oldest Ledaig ever released, with only 500 bottles produced.
In addition to these unique product offerings, award-winning Le Clos has an extensive portfolio of more than 1,000 fine wines and 400 luxury spirits from all four corners of the globe, starting from only USD $28. This, as well as a team of highly qualified staff, who combined speak more than 20 languages, in addition to its unique services such as complimentary bottle engraving, in-store tastings and a concierge delivery service, highlight Le Clos’ dedication to providing a world class shopping experience for its customers.
